Below are the instructions to configure X-Lite free software

1. Download the software at the following address: Download X-Lite

2. Launch the software by clicking on the icon on your Desktop, or by looking for the software it on your operating system menu

3. When you launch the software for the first time, this screen will appear. Click on "ADD" and enter your configuration data as indicated below.

3. Sound calibration The first software activity to complete is the "audio calibration", which helps you to better the voice quality during your conversations. Follow the simple instructions given by the software: choice of device (speakers or earphones, microphones., etc.) and the check of recording and listening volume.

   Note: if you cannot wait to use the service and you want to calibrate the sound at a later time, you can cancel the operation and go to the next point. To reactivate the calibration at a later time, right-click with the mouse on the main window of the program and choose "Audio Tuning Wizard" (audio calibration)

4. In the configuration menu, accessible from:

Main Menu --> System Setting --> Sip Proxy --> Default

... enter the following parameters:

Display Name: your name
Username: your unique personal indentification Username received via email from Messagenet after registering to FreeNumber or SmartNumber services.
Authorization User: as above
Password: the password received via e-mail from Messagenet after registering to FreeNumber o SmartNumber services.
Domain/Realm: sip.messagenet.it
Sip Proxy: sip.messagenet.it:5061
Send Internal IP: Always

Configuration is now completed. You can close the window and start making calls, dialing the number directly on the numerical keyboard and using the conventional icons.
