What is Messagenet VoIP?
VoIp (Voice Over IP) enables you to make phone calls over the Internet.
VoIp telephone calls are transformed into data packs, which are sent to MESSAGENET through your broadband Internet connection. MESSAGENET routes your calls from and to the public telephone landline network.
With activation, Messagenet assigns a landline telephone number to you (FreeNumber or SmartNumber) on which you can receive calls.
What's Mobile VoIP?
- Mobile VoIp enables your Windows Mobile ** PDA (see the list) with Wi-Fi and GSM functionality to make and receive VoIP calls anywhere you have valid Internet access through a hotspot to.
- An important feature of Mobile VoIP is MessagenetPhone, A dual mode virtual phone (i.e. via software) that you can use both as a regular mobile with the SIM card of your usual mobile network operator and as a VoIP phone through Messagenet services. The service includes a real landline phone number where you can receive calls WHILE MESSAGENETPHONE is working.
- Mobile VoIp is composed of MessagenetPhone, a Smartnumber landline phone number (12 month renewable subscrption) or Free Number - both allow you to receive an unlimited number of calls - and a 5 euro credit to make calls.
How does Mobile VoIp work?
- With MessagenetPhone you can receive and make calls through your PDA as on a normal mobile. When you have a valid access to a WI-FI hotspot you are connected to the Internet and therefore you can make VoIp calls, and answer calls on your Messagenet phone number.
Where can I use Mobile VoIP?
- As a mobile, anywhere there is network coverage by your mobile network operator or a partner.
- As a VoIP phone, anywhere you have valid Internet access through a Wi-Fi hotspot, for instance at home or at the office but, above all, in various public places.
- When you are not connected to the Internet, your calls are not lost because your voicemail answers them.
You save money compared with traditional landline and mobile telephone network.
- Because of very low Messagenet rates
- Because even when you are on the go and you have Internet access through a hotspot, you can make calls at VoIP Messagenet rates, instead of mobile rates.
- Because people calling you save money too: with Mobile VoIP "S" you can have a number in a country of your choice, and those who call you from the same area code pay as a normal local call.
Other benefits
- You can use your PDA address book both for GSM calls and for VoIP calls
- You are more avalaible on your landline phone number even when you are far from home or the office.
- Your voice mail delivers messages directly to your e-mail box; when you download your email, you can listen to your messages on your PDA with just a click.
